Oh, the places you’ll go.
There is very little in the world that I love more than an airport bar. It is a portal in the liminal space of the airport where possibilities feel endless, and my best thinking is done there. Commercial airline travel is not the most glamorous of experiences, but to me, all is made better and easier when I’m through security with my airport espresso martini in hand.
This blog was born out of an airport espresso martini, sitting in the Delta Sky Club at BNA (the future Dolly Parton International Airport), at 5:15 AM on a Friday heading to Palm Springs. I have been missing a creative outlet, and social media feels too heavy and too commercial for long form anything. Blogging and I are old friends from the days of Xanga, and it feels like coming home to return to her.
I am not sure what this space is going to look like, especially because the front page of my website is now effectively an advertisement for my legal services, but I hope to share some of where I’ve been here and where I’m going next. I hope that I can share part of my expanded world here in a way that I can go back to but that other people can draw on, too.
We’ll see what happens. Thanks for being here.
